On 20th October, Roads Australia hosted a National Women in Transport event in Melbourne. This night brought together leaders from across our industry, representing all modes of transport. The evening was hosted by our speaker bureau member and Roads Australia Vice President, Aneetha de Silva.
Thank you to Gabrielle Trainor AO who gave a keynote reflecting on her work in the Construction Industry Culture Taskforce. Gabrielle spoke about the importance of cultural change to realise workplace transformation, and to get more women working in transport. She touched on the standards that are being implemented in the construction industry that will seek to improve the work life balance, wellbeing and diversity and inclusion for workers.
Nights like these foster collaboration to create the change needed in the industry. Thank you to Roads Australia for hosting this event and for actively supporting greater participation and advancement of women in the transport industry.
